Get Balanced®
Research Initiative.
The Get Balanced® Research Initiative is the research relationship between the Global Cannabinoid Research Center and Nanobles. It runs structured survey studies with informed consent and turns the results into deidentified insight.
Education that becomes consented insight.
People who use cannabinoid products know things that no laboratory can see. The initiative asks them, carefully and with consent, and reports what it learns responsibly.
A research partnership
A focused relationship between GCRC and Nanobles, centered only on the Get Balanced® Research Initiative.
Structured survey studies
Defined questions, a clear participation flow and study summaries, rather than open ended polls.
Deidentified insight
Findings are reported in aggregate so they can guide brands, sponsors and future research.
From a question to a report.
Research question
A sponsor or GCRC defines what the study should learn.
Study design
Structured questions and a participation flow are built.
Informed consent
Participants read what the study involves before joining.
Participation
Surveys are completed on the Plant Chat® platform.
Reporting
Results are shared as deidentified, aggregated findings.
Consent first, every time.
Trust is the foundation of useful research. These principles apply to every Get Balanced® study.
GCRC's role with study data is set out in the initiative's agreements and in each study's own materials, which participants see before they agree to take part.
- Participation is voluntary and starts with informed consent
- Each study explains its purpose, questions and how results are used
- Results are reported as deidentified, aggregated insight
- Individual answers are never published
- Study materials state who receives the findings
- Nanobles products are not promoted through the research
Reported experience, not clinical proof.
Survey findings are valuable, and they are also different from clinical evidence. GCRC keeps the two apart in every report.
Reported consumer experience
- Patterns in how people use products
- What people say they notice
- Questions worth studying further
Clinical evidence
- That a product is safe or effective
- Cause and effect
- Results that apply to everyone
Plant Chat®
Get Balanced® survey studies run on Plant Chat, a research, education and survey platform where participants, clinicians and researchers meet. Participants learn about the endocannabinoid system as they take part.
Three ways to work with the initiative.
Sponsor a survey study
Fund a study on a question that matters to your brand, product category or organization.
Research collaboration
Researchers and institutions can collaborate on study design and analysis.
Request information
Ask about current studies, participation or how reports are shared.
What is the Get Balanced® Research Initiative?
It is the research relationship between the Global Cannabinoid Research Center and Nanobles. It runs structured survey studies with informed consent and reports the results as deidentified, aggregated insight.
Where do the survey studies take place?
Studies run on Plant Chat®, a research, education and survey platform.
Are survey results clinical evidence?
No. Survey studies describe reported experience. They can reveal patterns and guide future research, but they do not show that a product is safe or effective.
Can my company sponsor a study?
Yes. Brands, organizations and researchers can contact GCRC to discuss sponsoring a survey study on a specific research question.
How is participant information protected?
Participants give informed consent before joining, and results are reported only in deidentified, aggregated form. Each study's materials explain how its data is handled.
