The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a biological system composed of endocannabinoids, which are endogenous lipid-based retrograde neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors (CBRs), and cannabinoid receptor proteins that are expressed throughout the vertebrate central nervous system (including the brain) and peripheral nervous system. The endocannabinoid system remains under preliminary research, but may be involved in regulating physiological and cognitive processes, including fertility,[1] pregnancy, during pre- and postnatal development, various activity of immune system, appetite, pain-sensation, mood, and memory, and in mediating the pharmacological effects of cannabis or hemp.
Education is Key. The GCRC is working on a new affiliation with an educational program for doctors, nurses, and anyone else who'd like to lean how the intricate Endocannabinoid system functions and how cannabis/hemp truly changes the lives of patients.
It can be difficult to locate information about the safety and therapeutic value of cannabis. An unfortunate result of the federal prohibition of cannabis has been limited clinical research to investigate the safety and efficacy of cannabis to control symptoms of serious and chronic illness. Many scientists have noted research is “hindered by a complicated federal approval process, limited availability of research grade marijuana, and the debate over legalization.”
Nonetheless, the documented use of cannabis as a safe and effective therapeutic botanical dates to 2700 BC. Between 1840 and 1900, European and American journals of medicine published more than 100 articles on the therapeutic use of cannabis. In fact, cannabis was part of the American pharmacopoeia until 1942, and is currently available by prescription in Canada, the Netherlands, Israel, and Germany.

When a Traditional Healer is asked how their people learned how to use a specific plant medicine, the answer is usually that a God or Spiritual leader taught them. Each of us has a spiritual sense that can be used to seek answers but others use science. Finding a new plant medicine involves a crucial search for what works well unique physiologic health. Traditional Healers are still the major or only source of healthcare for many regions of the world. The loss of Traditional Healers in some areas has resulted in major changes in healthcare, sometimes to the detriment of the people.
In our modern world of plant medicine we've made leaps and bounds into clinical trials, university study, and independent research. As much as the healer of the past is still necessary so is the education of the healers of today that hold various degrees in medicine. For this reason we offer the 12 CME unit course on the Endocannabinod System for anyone to take across all borders in all nations. Everyone needs to learn a bit more!
For Doctors Without Borders, the ability to respond quickly to medical humanitarian emergencies is crucial to saving more lives. Unrestricted funds allow us to allocate our resources most efficiently and where the needs are greatest. Allowing these doctors to learn about the Endocannabiniod System is a huge goal of ours and the collaboration with the American Journal of Endocannabinoid Medicine makes this possible. If you believe in their mission please visit their website and help out!

Genevieve's Dream is a new, emerging brand, with a project created for the daughter of GCRC founder Mike Robinson. At one time nearly a half decade ago she was a compassion patient in a large program he ran that gave away cannabinoid oils to the less fortunate. Slowly as her mom and Robinson began to develop a relationship what's known as the "Cannabis Love Story" began. Genevieve had lost her father tragically a decade before she started gaining oils from the compassion program. She didn't respond well to CBD, but she did to CBG and even better to CBGa.
"She stole my heart; she called me Daddy - and she needed one." -Mike Robinson, GCRC
Genevieve's Carousel Challenge was created due to her love for the ride, her Carousel. The plan is to build out the brand and fund her own private Carousel Village.
Her little sister Sydney is 12 years old and also uses CBGa, the whole family does.
Genevieve's Dream, the Future of Hemp Extracts, creating the Dream Farm and Genevieve's Dream Village.
"The GCRC firmly believes in community over competition on a Global basis. As a collective group of plant medicine specialists it's imperative we collaborate, cooperate, and work together."
