Formulation and
reformulation.
GCRC develops new cannabinoid formulations and improves existing ones for cannabis and plant medicine businesses that need a workable formula, a prototype or a clear route to production.
A new product, or a better one.
Choose where your project starts. Both paths end with a formula ready for your production partner.
Developing a new product
For brands with a product idea that needs a real formula. We work from the intended format and audience to a prototype you can evaluate.
- Ingredient and cannabinoid selection, including minor and acidic cannabinoids
- Intended format and dose presentation
- Flavor, terpene and delivery considerations
- Prototype development and review
- Preparation for manufacturing

Improving an existing product
For products already on the market or in production that need to change. We start with the actual problem, not a generic checklist.
- Taste and texture
- Ingredient compatibility
- Delivery and absorption format
- Batch to batch consistency
- Changed product or market requirements
- Entire brand reformulation or a single product

Planning for stability
Stability planning is offered as a development service within a project. We help plan how a formula should hold up over time and in its packaging, and what testing it will need.
- Stability considerations for the chosen format
- Packaging and storage factors
- Testing plan with your laboratory or manufacturer

What does GCRC formulate?
GCRC formulates cannabinoid and plant based products such as tinctures, oils, soft gels, oral syringes, topicals and functional beverages, and reformulates existing products in those formats.
Can you work with our existing manufacturer?
Yes. GCRC prepares formulas for manufacturing handoff and can work alongside the manufacturer you already use.
Who owns the finished formula?
Formula rights are agreed in the individual project scope before development begins, together with fees, timelines and testing responsibilities.
Should I send our formula with the inquiry?
No. Describe the product and the problem first. Confidential formula files are requested only once a confidentiality agreement is signed.
